single 2D measurements. Follow the instructions
step by step:

of all start the
2D Event Explorer at WinARace with the shortcut key <ALT
+ E> or click at the button <Change

in the WinARace start window.

Select all 2D
measurements you want to compress directly from
the 2D Explorer window
(at the middle list view (panel) Use the <SHIFT> (keep it
pressed) and the arrow up / down keys if you
want to select more than one file. If you want to
select a single measurement in the list view
located at various positions keep the
<CTRL> key pressed and select all
measurements after one another with the left
mouse button.

If you have
selected all measurements you want to compress,

see the toolbar device of the 2D Explorer window.
If you prefer the keyboard use the main menu item 2D File
Tools / Compress selected Measurement(s)

In the next
dialog you must enter a destination directory (for compressing).
To do so you have the following three possibilities:
- Enter directly a new
(=not existing directory) in the corresponding edit field.

- Use the history list
(last ten used directories)

- Select an existing
directory from a
standard open dialog. To do so use the dialog open button

We recommend to use the current Event directory
for compression (=default directory). So the compressed archives
do not loose the reference to the related Event at any time !
|

At least confirm
all settings with the button <Ok>.
The compression operation starts automatically.
Afterwards you get a corresponding message.

During the compress operation you will get a status window.
Close the information window via the button <OK> and return
automatically to the 2D Explorer window

The file mask of the
2D Explorer window
will be automatically enlarged. So it is possible to select and
choose ZIP archived if you want to
decompress them in further time. At the right panel of the
explorer window you will a small information about the ZIP
archive.

Important: You get for each
compressed measurement an single zip
archive. The prefix character "M_" in the archive name
references a "MES" directory – our new data format. If you
compress our old files "PAR" you get the prefix character "F_"
Do not rename this zip archive if you want to
send it via email ! |
