The functions of the 2D Explorer

Convert selected measurement(s) into new data structure

Measurements you have created under the operating system MS-DOS (with the program "ProgIt") has the file extension "PAR". This function gives you the possibility to convert all "MS-DOS" measurements into our new window format "MES" directories.

The converting operation runs automatically. For each selected "PAR" file the program "ParToDDD’ is launched with additional parameters. This program is located directly in your current race directory. Follow the next instructions step by step:

Convert selected measurement(s) into new data structure - step one

Start the 2D Explorer window from the WinARace application. Press the shortcut keys <ALT + E> or click on the button <Change event> from the main window.

Convert selected measurement(s) into new data structure - step two

Select all measurements (at the middle list view) you wan't convert. Look for measurements with the file extension "PAR".

Convert selected measurement(s) into new data structure - step three

Enter the main menu and select the item "2D File Tools / Convert measurements..." or press the shortcut key <ALT + C>. Refer the figure above.

Convert selected measurement(s) into new data structure - step four

This window gives you information about the measurement count to be converted. You have the option to delete the "old" files after the conversion. If you want to do so check the checkbox <Delete original data>.

Convert selected measurement(s) into new data structure - step five

The converting time depends on the number of measurements you have selected. Directly after converting is finished the window you see above is automatically closed. The 2D Explorer window is updated automatically and you will see the new created "MES" directories in the middle list view (panel) at the 2D Explorer window.
