The functions of the 2D Explorer
   

Subject: Start the formula editor (WFormel)

Via this function inside the 2D Explorer window you can easily and quickly start the formula files of the selected measurement(s). The name of the program you need is the file with the name WFormel in your current race directory. Following the next example step by step.

Start formula editor - Step 1

First open the 2D Explorer from our Front-end tool WinARace. To do so press the shortcut key <Alt + E> or select the button with the caption <Change event>.

Select from the middle list view all measurement(s) you were interested in. If you want to select a complete block of measurement(s) keep the <Shift> key pressed and select with the left mouse button the begin and the end of the block. If you work preferred with the keyboard use the up-/ down arrow keys. If you want to select single not coherently measurement(s) keep the <Ctrl> key pressed by selecting the measurements you like.

Afterwards press the shortcut key <CTRL + F> or choose from the context menu (right mouse button) the item with the caption "Start formula editor with selected measurement(s)". Afterwards you will see automatically the formula editor start window.

Take notice of

You should select only MES directories (our new data format). If you select the MS-DOS measurements (files with the extension PAR) you will get the following information message.

In this example we have selected one of the demo measurements ("Bike.97" at the demo data directory "C:\Racedata\DemoData"). You will get exactly the same desktop appearance as in the program WinIt. You will get the complete list of channes in a clearly arranged tree view looking - refer the figure below.
