The functions of the 2D Explorer
   

  Starting the program "CalcTool" with selected measurements – calculate new channels

You can start the software module "CalcTool" with additional parameters for calculating additional channels from the 2D Explorer window. Therefore open the explorer by press the button <Change event> at the WinARace main window. The software gives you four different options. They are:

AnmerkungOption 1:
Start the program CalcTool with selected measurements and using any cal file (by selection) from the Dataroot.
Shortcut: <ALT + M>

Anmerkung Option 2:
Start the program CalcTool with selected measurements and using any cal file (by selection) from the current Event folder.
Shortcut: <ALT + T>

AnmerkungOption 3:
Start the program CalcTool with selected measurements and using any cal file (by selection) from the software folder. This folder corresponds with the sub-directory called as "CalFiles" located into your current Race version.
Shortcut: <ALT + S>

AnmerkungOption 4:
Start the program CalcTool with selected measurements and using any coded cal file (by selection) from "System\Cal folder". This folder corresponds with the sub-directory called as "System\Cal" located into your current Race version.

Beachten Sie The user can't edit coded cal files. The dialog shown in step3 (Start/Edit) does not appear for this reason; the cal file is started thus directly to all selected measurements !

You can start both functions via the 2D Explorer window:

Start the 2D Explorer from "WinARace". Press the shortcut keys <ALT + E> or click the button <Change event> at the window.

It is only possible to select the new 2D Data format (MES directories). If you start the function without selected measurements will display the following message.

Information message: Select only the new measurement format "MES" directories

If you have decided on an options enter the menu item "2D File Tools\Run cal file" (shown in figure1) or use one of the possible shortcut key (<ALT+M>, <ALT+T>, <ALT+S>), according to the individual options.

Option2 can be called additionally also via the shown toolbar button..

Select afterwards a Cal file (from the shown list)

The user has always the possibillity to edit the selected CAL file or to start it directly with exception of option 4

The calculation runs full automatically. The program "CalcTool" give you a information if a error occurs.

The program "CalcTool" save all errors in special protocol files. The protocol file exists directly in your current race directory and is called "Calcshow.txt" or "Calctool.txt". The last updated protocol file is the file with the name "Calctool.txt". You can check if the protocol function for the program "CalcTool" is enabled. To do so start our front- end tool WinARace and enter the following main menu item: <Settings / Formula – Protocol>. You will get the following start window:

Please note:

At the window above you can see that the protocol function for the program "WinIt" and "CalcTool" were enabled (First software delivery - preadjustement). In the example above both programs creates three protocol files with the same name as the program plus an additional file number and with the file extension "txt" directly in your current execute directory !
